About

I’m 27 years old.  I was born in Iowa, and have lived in 10 towns/cities since.  Seven of them are located in Iowa.  The two that can’t claim to be from a four letter state are Kansas City, Missouri, and Omaha, Nebraska.  I love both KC & Omaha, and would move back to either of them if the right opportunity arose. [Edit: I live in Arlington, VA now.. The first time I've lived east of the Mississippi.]  Actually, I’d move anywhere if the right opportunity came along, but I would maybe actively seek out opportunities in both of those cities before searching elsewhere.

I am a big Iowa State Cyclones fan.  Born and raised.  Yes, I know we have a Cardinal for a mascot.  If you are so inclined, this page does a nice job of explaining the reasoning behind it.  I had the great pleasure of living in Kansas City during the years that Iowa State basketball was an excellent team- attending Big 8/12 Tournaments (Both Men’s and Women’s!) and seeing those teams win championships is definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever witnessed.

I have had a job since I was 14 years old.  I’ve always had a very strong work ethic, and I get enjoyment from getting things accomplished.  Working for yourself Making a living by working for yourself is probably the ultimate challenge, and it’s a struggle.  Like most other entrepreneurs I’ve ever heard speak about their history though, it’d be hard to go back to working for someone else.

I believe in Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.  I am a Freedom loving American, and I think that we need to stand up for our Rights.  The government derives its just power from the consent of the governed, and the government is supposed to protect those fundamental rights mentioned in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.   That said, I’m open for any political discussion you want to bring forth, but be prepared to back up your claims with some sort of factual information, please!

Thanks for stopping by,

Nick
